“Have you seen the new little Madagascar 3 toys the kids opened last night?”
“Nope. Did you look in the–”
“I’ve looked everywhere!”
Sometimes you can tell how much kids like things by how fast they disappear into your house and get hidden in a special spot. Take, for example, the Madagascar toys my kids found in the latest Kinder Surprise packs to arrive on our doorstep. Two little characters in train cars were put together, giggled over, linked up and put in a special spot before bed. The next day when I went to write about them? Gone. I checked every corner, every little hiding spot I knew of, and found nothing.
Do things ever just get lost? I suppose so. But when something new and cute and tiny makes that fast a disappearance, I know there is a three year old behind it. Sure enough, after looking high and low, and calling my husband in for backup – the toys were found. Carefully stowed in a plastic cup, tucked away in a cupboard in her toy kitchen were the Madagascar toys.
These two little guys are obviously hot items:
You might be wondering what Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted and Kinder Surprise might have in common. Well, these two have joined up for a fabulous promotion to help celebrate the release of Madagascar 3! It’s in theatres now, so if you have kids in your house, don’t wait!
We’re very excited about this movie for a couple of reasons. First, our seven year old has loved all the earlier movies, and second, even WE loved the movies. They are sharp and funny, with a great balance of entertainment for a young audience as well as older kids or parents. These movies found a place in our hearts. Brilliantly cast with voices we know and love, it was easy to get caught up in the stories! And now we have another kid getting old enough to love the now well-known characters of Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman.
Do you love these crazy Madagascar characters too? Be sure to check out Kinder Canada’s Facebook page to keep on top of all the happenings, and be sure to pick up a pack of the specially marked Kinder eggs for your kids. We’re going to be trying to find all of the nine pieces to make the whole train! (Hint – you can see all the pieces in the Kinder Canada cover photo!)
Have you seen Madagascar 3? I can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks of it – so far reviews are awesome. I know we’ll be adding it to our collection when we can!
Now if I could just figure out how to keep my three year old from hoarding all the toys!
