While I try to sort through everything I want to share from this marvellous and overwhelming weekend, I must return to reality at home. No matter how full or amazing my time away, the calendar is still marking days and the end of October is approachiing.
With that in mind, I want to share with you a first-hand look at what arrived at our house last week:
What on earth could be inside such a special package? Really, it was something to behold.
It was none other than a costume from Pottery Barn Kids, sent to my three year old daughter for me to review. How exciting! If you didn’t know they carried children’s costumes, well, let’s just say you are in for a pleasant surprise. Not only do they carry costumes – they carry a wide variety of them for kids. The classic witches and fairies hold court with flamingoes and hedgehogs. Classic characters such as Max and the Monster from Where the Wild Things Are romp among lobster.
I was very pleased to be asked to choose a costume for my daughter, but how to choose just one? I finally had to show them to her to have her help choose. I’m loving what she picked and can’t wait to see her dressed and ready to trick or treat. I know it will have a special place among her costumes, and just like the others, will be the source of much fun and imaginative play.
I will let you know how it all works out, but for now wanted to share a few of the options we considered (we ordered from Pottery Barn Kids online but they were considerate enough to enclose a catalogue. It was all I could do to put it down the first time I tried flipping through it…)
Adorable, right?
How is the Halloween planning going at your house? Do your kids have costumes yet? Do you?
Tell me what you’re planning for Halloween at your house!
Disclosure: I received a costume from Pottery Barn Kids to facilitate my review. However, as always, you can be assured opinions are my own.
